The first conference of the knowledge-based economy took place on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Tehran's Islamic Summit Conference Hall, with the presence of the Iranian President, Dr. Hassan Rouhani, and a number of senior officials and many knowledge-based economy activists.
On his arrival at the hall, President Rouhani visited the latest achievements of Ava Communication Industries Co. and 11 other top Iranian knowledge firms in different fields of technologies. The CEO, Dr. Anooshiravan Merat, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Adib of Ava Communications presented a report to the President underlining the latest technological achievements of the company in the field of telecommunications. President Rouhani was accompanied on this visit by the Irainian Science and Technology Vice President, Dr. Sattari, Chairman of the Innovation and Development Fund, Dr. Soltani, President’s Head of Office, Dr. Nahavandiyan and President’ Special Assistant , Mr. Fereydoon.
At the main conference hall, the president heard the views of some conferrers and Iranian Science and Technology Vice President made remarks on the prosperous outlook of knowledge-based economy and the important role of knowledge-based firms in Iran’s development.
